Terrapin Nesting Season

We visited Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge this weekend. JBWR is one of the most important urban wildlife refuges in the United States. Encompassing 9,155 acres, it is comprised of diverse habitats, including salt marsh, upland field and woods, several fresh and brackish water ponds and an open expanse of bay and islands- all located within the limits of New York City. A Hidden Treasure

It nestles at the mouth of the River Medway facing the remains of the old Chatham Dockyard and the new Chatham Industrial and housing estate. It has offered protection to the Medway towns since it was commissioned in Elizabethan times.

In 1667 it played a vital role in defending the Medway from the Dutch invasion of England. Now it is almost a forgotten castle, not many people, even locals, know of its existence.

Microsoft offers a free image resizer for Windows XP users, it's super easy to use.
The Re-Sizer info is about half way down the page with the download button a bit further down on the right. I wouldn't use it on images that I want to print but it's great for pics you want to post on the web or E-Mail.
