The acronym stands for What You See Is What You Get. It's the latest in posting technology if you can figure it out.
This is the Help Center tutorial on it. It is for blog & forum starter posts, not replies.
ALSO, I finally got Ning to recognize the photo thumbnail issue, I had to hit them over the head but they are now working on it.

Microsoft offers a free image resizer for Windows XP users, it's super easy to use.
The Re-Sizer info is about half way down the page with the download button a bit further down on the right. I wouldn't use it on images that I want to print but it's great for pics you want to post on the web or E-Mail.
