I am finding lately that the photos I am posting here don't appear as clear and sharp as they look in my files. If you click on the photo for a full view, it looks sharper and more "true". But if you see it only on the Main Page, or on the Photo Page, it appears "softer" than it really is.
Is anyone else noticing that? Is it Ning, or is it my aging eyes? LOL!
I haven't noticed it here, but just recently there has been a noticeable drop in sharpness when I send pics from my original files to an external editor. I'll look at pics here more closely to see if I can notice diminished clarity.
I haven't noticed this. What I have always noticed is that when I post photos here, they always are a little lighter than they look on my computer. Sometimes I'll darken them just so they will look normal when I post here.
Bebop, I've always noticed that as well and do the same thing, darkening or heightening the contrast a bit before posting.
I'm thinking the problem might be with my monitor, as the shot that Mysterest posted above is looking the same way my shots look to me - better when I click it full size!

hard for me to tell, I bought a new 17" HD monitor and since I'm running 2 monitors side by side. the older one is definitely less bright, (course I've set this one up this way)
you might have to recalibrate it.....dig out the old manual (actually they're pretty easy to do without)....go for it!
same here Susan...
posted some of mine for Jill....I had one regret and that was not having a 2nd camera when I was up top....now I'll never get the chance!
I climbed those millions of stairs too - about 20 years ago - and experienced such vertigo at the top that I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get down! Eventually I went down on my butt, step by step.....!
I did feel like I knew Deb already - and it felt that way last spring when we met Keith & Diane as well - on DP we share our passions, our interests, our travels, and bits of our personal lives, through our photos and our comments - so meeting someo…
