Good morning all - it's been a while since I've started one of these! It's cold this morning, we even had a few snow flurries overnight, but nothing that made it to the ground.
DH and I recently re-discovered our bicycles, and have been spending much of our precious free time the past month cycling in the wonderful parks we have around here. It's been great exercise and a nice way to enjoy the peak autumn color, that is now waning. I've been wearing my camera around my neck while I ride, so I hope my confidence in my riding skill is not overrated - one good spill could break my camera, to say nothing of body parts! These shots were taken on one of our recent weekend outings:

The robins, who haven't been in evidence for a few months, are gathering for the flight south. I followed four of them around the pond as they sampled the multiflora rosehips. I couldn't get close enough for a good shot. This is the best of the lot.

5 all the way. There are many shots of fly-away seed pods, but this one is set off by the terrific angle adn the focus being behind the front wave of fuzzy-wuzzies.
It does seem fewer do remember this date-A simplist thought, but perhaps content and happy Countries might help bring an end.
