March 1st has a positive sound to me. It is very cold but sunny here. This chickadee doesn't seem to care as long as he gets his seed.

Yesterday was cold and sunny with clear blue skies. I am always trying to get this shot the way I want it. Not there yet...but it gives the idea of the evergreens, yellow willow branches and blue sky.

Great chickadee shot, Bebop! I love the colors in the second shot! I think I can see where you want to go with this....!

My problem is that I can't back up anymore without walking into trees and my house. If I get closer and low to the ground and shoot up at it, it gets all distorted.

I see your dilemma. :) Still, the colors are wonderful.

Yes, the chickadees eat out of anything, including my hand.

That must be something, Bebop. They won't eat from my hand either, Das. They don't fly away and they'll land right next to me, but can't quite get them to make that last little leap.

That's an excellent Chickadee shot, wow. I love it.
It's snowing lightly this morning ahead of a major storm expected for tonight and tomorrow. A foot is predicted.

Here too, Andy - its supposed to start snowing around sundown today and snow for 24 hours straight; we could get a foot or more here in Queens - sounds like my area will be right in the band of heaviest snow!

was up early and watched some guys skimming on the beach here in St. Augustine @8:00 am.....started to rain and the storm is headed over this way...

We're getting that storm system in the form of heavy rain. Been pouring all morning, with some thunder and lightning thrown in. 3" in the rain gauge so far. The birds love it. Going through some pics I took now. If any are worthwhile, I'll post them.

A disappointing result over-all. So dark and windy. Here are a couple of snaps. March is coming in like a lion. Let's hope it goes out like a lamb. :)
