Daily Pics

Good morning everyone! Temps are in the mid 40s right now but it's damp, overcast and windy and feels colder. Rain is in the forecast through Saturday compliments of TS Ida. I shouldn't complain, though, as we're on the edge of the system. The New Jersey shore is facing heavier winds and rains as well as coastal flooding, possibly the worst in a few years.

Here's a spot of color from a few days back. Not much is still blooming in my garden, but this gazania plant is still hanging on.

Pleasant looking shot, Deb. I really like the hint of color with calm waters and just enough reflection.

Nice day here in the mountains. Predicted to change, pretty good chance of some good snowfall in the next few days. As the day ended, we came upon a small herd of elk above our cabin. As you can tell, with the twilight I didn't quite hit the focus like I'd have liked!

But they're still quite handsome, and though they are clearly showing you their best sides, they did turn toward you at least! :)

What a wonderful sight just above your cabin!

Oh, and I received word that Audubon Guides published another dozen photos in their Guide. That makes a total of 17 at the moment. I've submitted several more, of species they had yet not identified, so it'll take them a bit longer to decide on those.

Happy Day!

Congratulations, Keith. That's wonderful news.

Thank you, Bebop.

Yes, Deb, nice to get that view... finally!

So more congratulations are heading your way, Keith. That's really something, but it's not surprising given the quality of your shots. Way to go!!!

It's a shame you didn't get the sharp focus of that elk herd that you had hoped for, but they still look pretty neat to me...especially if I squint just a little bit when looking at them.
