The Olympic Torch has started its way across Canada. It was recently at a Market called "Goats On the Roof" in Coombs on Vancouver Island, we took this shot when we were there in '03...the goats live there and feed off the grass roof
the Torch was in Tofino BC where the Trans Canada highway beginsto start the journey
this will be a hard stretch as this part of the Island is pretty mountainous...Mt. Aerosmith Arrowsmith from our cousin's home on the Island....we were there for a June 21 wedding..
If you want to follow the Torch's travels follow the link below, for interactive maps, stories about the torch bearers etc.....
I was just a few minutes too slow to get today's Discussion started. I lost time looking for a pic to post. I'll delete mine, GTO.
Beautiful Election Day here in Pennsylvania. Temps are holding in the mid-50s and the Phillies pulled out a win last night to stay alive in the Series! Go Phillies! Just got back from a late breakfast out with some friends. Election Day brings out the crowds for breakfast even though it's already time for lunch.
Today's shot is two years old and was taken in Bolzano, Italy. I thought it had a nice fall look to it.
Love the Goats/on roof on the Island.
tymwp~it's very colorful and fall-like.
Andy~they do look beautiful before becoming frost-bitten.
A quick note off subject~I just went to add some jewelry to my glasscraftbyjackie site; and I've accidently deleted all the items; so, will have to start from scratch as I can't seem to recover them. So, the site is unusable at this time.
22*F late this afternoon w/snow in the forecast.
Yes sir!! back to work, indeed. Time for a break, now.
This vase is hot out of the kiln. The glass is irridescent, a root beer color exterior, w/purple inside. The exterior has frit and 3 large pieces of dichroic glass.
Need to get a better pic, "later"; it needed to get listed.
I now have more pieces than I can ever list in a timely manner. My DH wants to get in on some Christmas bazaars.
That 'Goats on a Roof' Market looks really neat. Actually, I might have wondered what was going on in the picture in the newspaper article if you (and the article) hadn't told us it was the Olympic torch.
From a couple weeks ago, before frost.
The main flower bed with happy dahlias.
All the tender bulbs are in as of today even the last glads that still had flowers. We were in the mid 50s today, too. The warmest we expect for the rest of the week.

5 all the way. There are many shots of fly-away seed pods, but this one is set off by the terrific angle adn the focus being behind the front wave of fuzzy-wuzzies.
It does seem fewer do remember this date-A simplist thought, but perhaps content and happy Countries might help bring an end.
