Daily Pics

Good morning. It's a bright, sunny spring day. Looks like the frost warnings are over so today I plan to transplant the cooler weather veggies and flowers into my garden--broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, lettuce, Shirley poppies, oregano, dianthus and rudbeckia. I started these seeds months ago and they are really ready for the big world. I may get to gladiolas later.

Here is the sweet little Chipping Sparrow

That robin is listening. Cool

He does seem to be concentrating on something.

Sounds delightful! Our frost warnings have been over for some time and we're on our 14th consecutive day of 100 degree temps. And we still have over a month until summer starts.

we're pretty well done here too...avg frost date here is May 10.....you guys must really set records down there Rich!

We were just getting into the mid 80's regularly, then got this really unusual cool spell. Cloudy and in the upper 50s to low 60s the past 3 days. So not normal. I can't imaging 100s in May any more than I can grasp having a last frost date in May! :)

Hi, y'all. Just a note to say Sarah is responding well to the pain meds. She's my regular girl again.
Is this Alyssum?

Reply to This

No idea about the flower. Ask DG! I am so happy to hear that Sarah is feeling better. I've been thinking about you guys all day.

Oh, I'm so happy to hear Sarah's feeling better. That's so good!
That doesn't look like alyssum to me. Maybe a phlox (creeping kind)?

Reply to This

Ah yes, Creeping Phlox. Thanks Deb.
Sarah doesn't like one of the pills. It's given in her food, she eats agound it. Time for the peanut butter.

My ditch lilies don't seem to mind the cloudy days. These are along the front walk.

And...a different view. Too much? ;->

How can you have too many lilies?

This was kind of a throw-away shot, but I love the look on her face. I believe I was disturbing her browse. (enlarge to get the full effect of her annoyance).
