today is the anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald, it sank in Lake superior in 1975. Gordon Lightfoot made this song an unforgettable piece of history as he tells the story of what probably happened to the 29 members aboard
the weather was incredibly windy, and cold then as the wind and waves tore the freighter apart.....today we will be enjoying 60 degree weather once again
hard to believe that something that big could sink, one of the freighters passing through here
GTO~thanks the for reminder; very sad and as you mentioned; to have been such a large ship to go down. I recall seeing waves on Lake Huron that looked much like the ocean, awesome and cold.

We had to trek down to the city yesterday. Along the way we sat for a time as they are scaling one of the mountains to remove "falling rock" danger. Quite a prevalent problem on Colorado roads.
