Supposed to be another beauty here today... high in the 50's, lots of sunshine. Presently its 29 and cloudy. Sunrise in a few moments promises to be majestic with the cloud cover.

TW, you've been getting some great mantis shots! I love the middle one. Not only is the mantis perfect, but the dark upper half and white lower half make for a spectacular composition.

there were record numbers in Ottawa today for the ceremonies there, esp. now that Canada's Afghanistan toll is at 133.....Prince Charles and Camilla have been in Canada for almost a week and also attended the ceremonies

My niece-in-law just posted this photo on Facebook, and I "borrowed it" to share. This is a photo of my dad she took today with his great-grandchildren. She made it a point to have the kids visit him on Veteran's Day, explaining to them what it was all about. He's 89 years old and served in the army in Europe during WWII!
