Daily Pics

Someone at Flicker has stolen a pic I posted on Daves Garden and posted it as hers.
Anyone with a Flicker account is asked to leave a rude comment @ Tulsa7035.
Some DG member saw it and alerted DG Admin who contacted me asking if I had given permission.
My signature and the DG watermark are on it.

DavesGarden is handling it. They have the clout to get it removed, their watermark is on it too.
I got a message asking if I had given permission to post it. DG is not Eons, that's why I'm still on DG.

Thanks Andy.

DeeDee is all wrapped around this copyright issue, I'm not. I take my pictures, for my enjoyment, for DeeDee's enjoyment and for anyone else who happens to enjoy taking a peek (or viewing a peak) through my lens. I have not had a photo "stolen" but I'm not sure that I'm all the possessive with any of the photos I've taken. Someone "steals" it and makes or purports to make it their own... they know its stolen, so do I... it is not like they have any monetary value... I also know my outlook is way, way in the minority... even in this cabin! ;-)

Keet, you're not "way, way in the minority" and I understand your point of view. For me it's grating to have someone benefit from my efforts.
D, I considered this issue long before my store.

So sorry to hear that, Andy. I must admit, I am too lax about signature. It seems such a strange concept to use another's photo w/permission; guess it's better to start signing.

Andy, I don't have a Flicker acct or I'd go leave a reprimand! I never can understand why people do that anyway. What's the point? So weird. Glad DG is helping out.

The pic has been removed.
I just got this from DavesGarden Admin.

"Hi Andy P,
We noticed the signatures, and since they had made no attempt to hide
them (most do a pretty botched job trying to disguise the copyright)
we thought we'd better ask before we got huffy with someone.
We'll get right on it.
Happy Gardening."

DG is cool.

Glad it was a happy ending! I looked at the photo, and sure enough your signature was totally visible. Strange why people do things like that! But glad it's been resolved!

How about that, lol.
Flickr must have found other pilfered pics in her file. She had 400 of butterflies alone and 43 pages of pets.

Typical woman - attention is on a conversation somewhere. (I know I'll be curcified for that statement [grin]) Again very soft in focus.

Absolutely love this posture and smirk. Wish it was in focus more.

Nice capture of the expression. It's just a bit soft to keep the eyes really bright.

Terrific posture and facial communication, but the focus is on the people in the water.

Superb catch. 5 I always like the way the nuthatches look like they were shorted in the tail department. Just proves a big rudder isn't necessary when you are good at navigation! [grin]
