Bokeh (derived from Japanese, a noun meaning "blur" or "haze") is a photographic term referring to the out-of-focus areas of an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field. When taking a macro or closeup, I try to also consider how that blurry background will add to or detract from the whole composition. I know it's something we all struggle with, so I thought it would make an interesting challenge. Here is a wild aster to start it off.
