Nice, Betty. I saw these at the Garden in the Woods park in September '07. The petals had fallen but they were still very interesting.

I planted some in my garden this past year. I hadn't realized some varieties are native to Virginia. Crossing my fingers!

Geez, almost a year late to answer. Garden in the Woods park is in Framingham, MA about an hour away. I have a photo album by the same name of shots with my then brand new camera.
