Taken with my point and shoot set at Manual, 2.8 fstop, -1 exposure compensation. Still over exposed I adjusted the highlights radically. Darkening the highlights brought out some of the detail in the light area leaving just a white glow to distract. Finally I applied a dark vignette to 'punch' the flower.

Comment by Patricia on August 27, 2009 at 8:58pm - I was surprised that the center was totally overexposed. Since I was taking the pic in deep shade I figured it would work but I probably should have stopped down 2 stops.
