Urubui boys
At a park (Urubui) on the upper Rio Negro which is a tributary to the Amazon. It's a blackwater river (hence the name). This park is on a stretch of rapids, not far from the falls I posted last week. Alan got some wonderful shots of these kids.

They were having lots of fun. The park seems to be a very popular spot for local folks on weekends. The water looks a bit rougher than it is, but the boys were pretty fearless - diving and jumping. I think they must've been very familiar with it, knowing where the deeper spots were and such.
