I really am having a wonderful day, thank you!! Starting right after I woke up at 7:00. Not thinking clearly until I have my first cup of coffee, I was just pouring it when my son walked in with a yummy, beautiful cake he'd just bought! It was my first realization that it is my birthday. I was touched. As I am now. Thank you, Bebop!

My grandson took that picture and stated that it was for the web. I guess I have to come out of hiding! [grin]

I was just looking through the DG contest pics again, and realized I forgot to tell you that I thought your grasshopper on the Dahlia was an absolutely amazing shot. Should've won that category, IMO. :)

Picnic Area: Thanks for your comment! We found a wonderful system of Picnic Areas all over Canada, and besides being pretty scenic spots and nice picnic areas, they all had clean "facilities"! We stopped at these areas often for their comfort stations more than for picnicking, although had we known and prepared, we could have had a couple of very nice picnics. Next time we'll know!

You've done a fine job of capturing the beauty of a gloomy day, Bebop.

Mr. Cardinal has great color. I have cardinals that come to a tube feeder filled with safflower. It has a little tray to catch the spilled seed and the cardinals usually sit on it when feeding. Of course it's more awkward for them to use that feed...
