We are in the center of Nebraska, just north of I-80. The Platte River runs just south of the interstate. It is very flat in our area...just can go north or south of the interstate and it changes...but here is very flat. They use lots of pivot irrig…
We live around a lot of lakes, so some mornings the fog can be thick and the air can be very heavy! Some winter mornings are like this too.
Yes, it is. Don built the bench around the tree for me and then we added the walkway that meanders through the garden

This is an absolutely wonderful shot! I get hummers and have had a Baltimore oriole this year, but don't think I'm likely to get bluebirds.

It's Amarylis planting time. I have 5 blooming size bulbs, this is the oldest at 25 ish. An unnamed red.

It's a balmy 27 F here with bright sun. We may get an inch or two tomorrow but no brutal cold is expected.
The Old Farmers Almanac may have been right about central US having a colder than normal winter.
