In 2003 I had a stroke that left me with limited mobility on my left side. I have gained some control back but can't get out and about as much as I'd like. I took up photography again out of sheer boredom as Iv'e been a perpetual learner all my life and needed stimulation. I could only use my right hand at first but with time and determination, I've got to a decent level of photography that it has become a passion for many different reasons.
Thanks for your comments on my pics! As for the Covered Bridge - the one I posted is actually in Canada, although there are many in the USA. According to Wikipedia, most of them are from the 19th century and they are covered because "early bridges were often made of wood, especially where it was a plentiful resource. Wooden bridges tended to deteriorate rapidly from exposure to the elements, having a useful lifespan of only nine years. Covering them protected their structural members, thus extending their life to 80 years or more."
pikes peak...thank you, Gina, for viewing and commenting on this photo. we,my son and I, actually took the train/trame up the side of the mountain. It goes almst straight up and is a fun ride through the pine tree, creeks ad bluffs.
Hi Gina , Thanks so much for your comments on my shots. Quite frankly I really can't remeber if I sharpened that photo, I rarely do it but its possible. That bug however does have a somewhat leathery plasticy shell.
