What a stunning capture! The subtle reflection is good, with the almost abrupt reflection of the beak showing in the water. Was this swan actually purple! 5.
Hi Joyce, thanks for your comments, as always. In "Off the Bike Path" those bikes belong to my DH and me. Thanks for the "young couple" reference - that is greatly appreciated! LOL! But we didn't make the carving!
Thanks for your supportive comments as always!
As for the shot of me "On the Rocks" that shot isn't a crop, but the way the my hubby took it, so there's not much more I can do with it. But here is another shot he also took, that gives a tad more of the view that I am looking at - I think there was a shoal out there, but none of the shots he took included that part of the view. This may even be a better shot than the other one - I just hadn't gotten to editing this one until now:
Hi Joyce..the place is called Erddig Hall its about a 5 minute drive from my house....it used to be the ancestral home of the Yorke family who were big landowners in the town a couple of centuries ago....I can remember when I was a child the last surviving lord used to ride into the town on an old pennyfarthing bicycle wearing tweed breeches and a deerstalker hat!!! the hall is owned by the National Trust now and is open to the public in the summer Google it and the Yorke family of Wrexham....if you would like to find out a bit more...cheers for your comments and interest
there goes the neighborhood...soon, after landing their craft, the WFN1000, they were all captured and used as forced labor on the X-Files television program, until the show was later canceled. after that they took their small earnings and hitch-hiked to lancaster, OH. where they were to live happily to this day near there new found friend, joyce. (you asked : D ) thanks for stopping by. WFN..
Thanks for the comment on my Mourning Dove. We are just now seeing the first Chipping Sparrows, which are generally our harbinger of first frost coming. We rarely see juncos, and I dearly love those little things.
I'll see if I can get a nice C. Wren pic for ya.
Welcome home, Louie. Safe and sound with a bundle of fun memories and pics.
Love that Blue jay, Bebop. They sure are pretty birds with a wider vocabulary than one might think.
Linda, the squirrel looks well feed. Cool shot.
It's cool and damp for ...
This used to be a railway line, now just a great trail for walkers and bikes. I was photographing trees for a new section we are working on in my nature site. Thank you all for the comments.
