Pre-Fall Inspection

I took a ride up north today to see how the "changing of the leaves" was progressing and in doing so I ran a very familiar road and one that I have been on before. The weather was unusually clear and sunny and very warm. I had other plans for the day, but this was too nice a day to pass up for a ride. I changed the oil and filter, washed her down and saddled up!

Orillia Fall Fair

We took our grandson and SIL to their first fall fair and my first one in years this past weekend. Every village and town hosts it's own fair during one of the first 3 weekends in Sept so it's impossible to get to all the fairs. We were motivated to take our grandson this year - otherwise we would have missed it again this year.

My daughter's family moved to Canada from Tunisia late last year. our SIL (his name is Zo) is a native Tunisian and Malek was born there 5 years ago. We are sti… Continue

Camping Aftermath!

Well 4 men for four days with no contact with the outside whatsoever answered that aching question; "If a man in alone in the forest without a woman around, is he still wrong?" Our findings were conclusive - NO. Four days and none of us were wrong! It's true. That is just how it happened!

Two days of rain and two of sun. No injures or scars to body, mind or spirit. Actually each of us found it relaxing and therapeutic to the soul just to be someplace so beautiful.

Here are some… Continue

Camping Plans

We are getting geared up for a 4 day camping extravaganza! Boys only! That's my son and I, my son in law and a future son in law who is "on deck". Four men - no plans, little prep, some experience, no stores, no roads, but lots of testosterone fueled attitude! Someone is going to get hurt. That's a given.

We are camping on government owned land, but it is not developed at all - it is hundreds of square miles/kilometers just the way it was 2,000 years ago. You can actually dip a cup in t… Continue

Hi, Bob. Wish I had more time to orient myself. I should be working. I'm going to try to view your pictures, then I'll have to bear down. I'll come back again when I have time to stay for a while and load in some pictures.

How long have you been visiting Wilson's falls? I think it is a great place to soak up nature and meditate
and capture some of God's creations on...I was going to say on film but that was in the past. I appreciate your work which I've seen so far. I'm just getting my feet wet

Bob - I bet you do wish there'd be a photo of her on the moose:) That's a great story for the family history.

hello again, Bob ~ I just found the comment about momma moose; yes, mom's are usually quite close. There has been no mom in view for a few days, so I'm concerned as to her whereabouts.

Hi Bob ~ You are correct in that we took the drive at the right time and caught the "action". This is a great time of year and I enjoy the tangible signs of winter's coming.

Hi Bob: Been looking at your pics. What/where is Caledonia and what was happening there? Did you get your answer about the best file size for posting? Looks like you did, but if not, Andy is the best source for that info, I think. :) Deb
