I was a lab assistant at the County Medical Center for 30 years. I loved my job, the people, everything about it, but it was finally time to move on. I retired. So now I have Time and Freedom, two things that I am embracing and loving.
I opened a store at Zazzle. Finally.

I've been a member at Daves Garden for a couple of years and that's where I met Andy and some of the other regulars here. Gardening and photography seem to go together, and make for good friendships.
I hope you'll feel like seeing more of my photos on my photoblog. It's at www.heavenscentbynancy.blogspot.com and there's a second one at www.heavenscentbynancy2.blogspot.com
I'm married, have two sons in their thirties. It still surprises me that they are so old. Sometimes I forget that I'M not in my thirties anymore. No grankids. Just grandcats. I'm happy with that.
Thanks for your comments. The clarity on the honeybee is just patience and luck. I set my camera on super macro and take a million shots until I get the right one. I also play around with the light, contrast and cropping when I edit. I've found these guys are so absorbed in their flowers, they really don't care that I am so close with my camera.
I've thought about RedBubble, looked at the sight, and am impressed with the quality of work. But, I really don't want to spend any more time on my computer than I do with this site which is small and sort of like family. I'm just an amateur sharing photos with these guys. I'm so glad to see you posting here. I love your work!
Hi, Nancy. Thanks for the Blackberry comment.
It's nice th see you posting again, your work is great.
I gave up on RedBubble after finding Zazzle, much better there.
Just wanted to thank you for the lovely comments you left on some of my work. I can see you are a fan of colour and your vision for still life, the composition and lighting is amazing. Keep on pressing the shutter, you have a talent. x
Couldn't have been in Buffalo, Nancy - I've never even visited that part of New York. It was somewhere in Ohio, but I really just can't remember where. Senior Moment.
