About Me:

I was a lab assistant at the County Medical Center for 30 years. I loved my job, the people, everything about it, but it was finally time to move on. I retired. So now I have Time and Freedom, two things that I am embracing and loving.

I opened a store at Zazzle. Finally.

make custom gifts at Zazzle I've been a member at Daves Garden for a couple of years and that's where I met Andy and some of the other regulars here. Gardening and photography seem to go together, and make for good friendships.

I'm married, have two sons in their thirties. It still surprises me that they are so old. Sometimes I forget that I'M not in my thirties anymore. No grankids. Just grandcats. I'm happy with that.

I set my camera on super macro and take a million shots until I get the right one. I also play around with the light, contrast and cropping when I edit. I've found these guys are so absorbed in their flowers, they really don't care that I am so close with my camera.

I climbed those millions of stairs too - about 20 years ago - and experienced such vertigo at the top that I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get down! Eventually I went down on my butt, step by step.....!
