Very cleverly done was this affect done with a potato masher with coloured boards and taken on a angle to get this attractive design?

'morning, John.
Thanks so much for your comment/winter light.
Your flower blossom photos are breathtaking; love seeing your countryside, too.

Hi John, Thanks for your comment on my fungi shot. The shot was indeed hand held-as are all of my fungi shots ( can't use a tripod that low ) . I have rechecked the shot and have even printed it and to be honest I can't see a noise problem. You could however possibly be swayed by the very small dof I used and the resulting bokeh. This shot was taken in good light at 100 iso and was not cropped so there should be no noise problem. Cheers mate.

John~thanks; no snow so far. Ice, wind and cold; having snow would sure brighten the landscape.

Hi John, Thank you for your comments today , much appreciated. I've got another couple of lenses on my wish-list as well ,but they're so expensive. I'd like to buy a good 400 or 500mm for taking shots of birds but those lenses are out of my price range at present. I can but wish.
Here its windy and overcast , the rain will arrive later I suppose. Not a good day for photographing. Anyway take care John. Cheers.

Good morning John, Thanks for your comment on " the 2 of us " - much appreciated. That shot was not taken in my garden but on the edge of a park. I used my 10-20mm Sigma lense and took in flat on the ground - not so good for my back though. Have a good weekend , cheers.

Hi John, Sorry for not having got back to you much sooner. Yes , I suppose that I do have quite a large garden. Half of it is a wooded area with oak trees dating back about 70 years, I tend to let nature take its course there which encourages the wildlife.

Deb I take it they're not hardy in SC either?? I would definitely try one there....you can start with just a 6" branch, grow it in a pot for the first few years and then set it out... my first piece came from a piece I bought at Canada Blooms (la...

I think that of all the garden chores, raking leaves is the absolute bottom of my "enjoyability" list! You worked hard to make that pile, I bet.

We have Bottle Brush here; they seem to bloom twice, Spring, and a lesser bloom in autumn. Louie, wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to have a Plumeria TREE!?? Sigh.
