Absolutely terrific! Very well composed, with the fence giving wonderful emphasis to that well-shaped, interesting tree. 5.

Cheerful and colorful shot of a memorable event for Houston.

They say that "three is a charm" - I agree with the Christmas card idea. It's nice that you were able to get this capture before the snowmelt, since from what I hear on the news, snow in Houston is infrequest.

I worked two "seasons" with a pyrotechnic company. This was a New Years Eve shoot. I arranged the colors and kinds of shells that went into making this show. Then I helped load the shells into the mortars, wire everything up ...
And I got to push a few buttons!!!
This is not the best fireworks shot, but it's the best shot I have of one of "my" shoots.

Back to Texas

We're on our way back to Texas on Saturday ...
Hubby's job here was canceled ...
We'll be moving into an apartment, because our townhouse is still undergoing restoration. This was supposed to be a six month project and it's been nine months now ...
This is through no fault of our contractor or his crew ...
It's really hard to buy materials when the insurance company is in no hurry to get your money to you.
I'll be spending this week packing and saying good bye to friends and Milano.
Saturday wil… Continue

Back

I'm
Back
After battling
Fall out from
The fire
Foreign flu
And
Faulty brain chemistry.

Golly I've been gone quite awhile!
Sometimes life throws us for a loop and even though all is well, I've been struggling a bit.
Long story short ...
We're still in Milan, Italy.
My step daughter accidentally set fire to our town house back in Houston.
Everyone was OK and the structure is fine, but the contents were a total loss.
And I've managed to catch every flu bug that Italy has to of… Continue

Still in Texas

We're still in Texas ...
Hubby's paperwork had to be re-submitted ... a clerical error.
We're still waiting on a departure date ...
It's not much fun living out of suitcases in your own home!
Here are a few pictures I took while we were downtown Houston. I may head down there again before we leave; I can't believe I live so close to such a large city scape and haven't taken more photos!

That's interesting about your dad and the caboose.

I had 2 different pictures of this Feed Mill hanging in a local artist shop. A man called me and asked how he could get a copy of them. His uncle who is 87 years old, is the son of the man that built and ran that mill. He bought the two pictures and gave them to his uncle for Christmas.
