Terrific mood catcher. From about half these folks, I see even the Eden of Waikiki has need of a Wal-Mart. [grin]

Beautiful mood and subdued colors just made this picture depict the harsh cold climate!

A photo-journalist's capture. A great start for a photo-essay.

This is a postcard material!! Beautiful composition and well-edited! Outstanding resolution, color, and sharpness. The harsh coldness of winter captured portrays natural beauty and outstanding scenery! 5

I love the geometric patterns of the roof and the color contrast against the blue sky.. Santa would indeed do a lot of work in this place ;-)

I like your suggested change on my photo, Virgil, which emphasizes the chimneys. The large green roof seems to lead the eye back to the chimneys better than what I had done with it. My version was a "drive-by shooting", caught quickly through the car window, but I had fun with it.

Virgil, to be completely honest with me, don't you think that the rooftop picture needs a little brightening? My thought is that it's just a bit dark.

Thanks so much for your comments. No HDR on that pic although I did dodge some of the snow highlights.

Virgil, thank you so much for your thought-provoking, kind comments on my photos. I do have to wonder if I over-saturated the bike rack just a wee bit? I like it that way personally, but I may have overdone it. What do you think, in all honesty?

Nice shot of the two of you. Coincidentally, I just finished watching Jeopardy which I had recorded earlier. I was especially curious after Jenterline had asked about the NYC librarian.

wow, I guess it's a good thing I did this 20 years ago! Even with extreme vertigo, it was an experience to remember!

I climbed those millions of stairs too - about 20 years ago - and experienced such vertigo at the top that I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get down! Eventually I went down on my butt, step by step.....!

and no, I don't know the NYC librarian who was on Jeopardy - you are the second person to ask me that :)
