Andy P My best Pine tree is gone!

Breakfast was interrupted by the sound of chainsaws yesterday. It sounded close so I looked around. There they were, prepping the pine I hastily planted 23 years ago. I thought it was 1 foot onto my side of the property line at the time. I fenced in the yard 12 years ago running the fence along my side of the tree, it had grown fast. My daughter was going out with a friend last night and since she lives about 25 miles away I got to drive one way and Sarah would bring her back later. Nice bird shot, GTO. It's a balmy 27 F here with bright sun. We may get an inch or two tomorrow but no brutal cold is expected. The Old Farmers Almanac may have been right about central US having a colder than normal winter.

He's not drinking hemlock, is he? [grin] The titles of these two pictures together worried me. Nice focal points accenting the big picture.

Mother Nature is such a wonder. When she wants to, she can cram more beauty into a given area than a human would ever conceive. You have caught a microcosm of the entire area in one spot. 5
