My aunt had several boxes of these enamel pins. They appear to have all come from Russia (or the Soviet Union). Some have ships, some seem to have some military theme, some have space program symbols. Are the just some souvenir sold on the street? Anyone have a clue? Anyone know where would be a good place to search for info about them?

Dasia and I were talking about the now famous photo of our soon-to-be President, shirtless in Hawaii. One tabloid called him First Hunk, not me. :) (Though I can't disagree.)

As some of you already know, I work in Juvenile Justice. I run a probation / parole office for our county. This morning there was a reception at the grand opening ceremony for a new building at our secure facility where, sadly, we do have to lock up some kids for a while.
There are many programs at that facility to educate and prepare these kids to successfully reenter their communities. Among these are activities designed to help them discover their talents.

Hi Y'all ! Just got back from an 8-day Caribbean cruise. While I can't say much nice about the ship (too big, among other things), I did enjoy the ports, some of which I hadn't visited before. Now you'd expect me to post some pics of beaches and ocean and pastel buildings and tropical foliage, right? A few years ago, we exhausted some family who were visiting from the UK, by "dragging" them around AZ and the "Four Corners" area. Some of you may have seen this first photo on my page, and it's one photo from that trip. I wanted to share a few others from the same trek. Once upon a time, my hobby was hand-coloring photographs. Very painstaking, but relaxing. Then, along came digital photography, photoshop, paintshop, etc. Now, anyone with a good image editing program can get the same effect by clicking a mouse. What used to take me hours, can now be done in seconds.
