Assumptions, Staples, & Stereotypical Shots

I didn't realize exactly un-unique some of my favorite shots were until I started showing them to others.  Three come to mind that on occasion I'll post and someone will want to show me theirs!  It's almost like all photographers just gravatate towards certain things.  So, I'm wondering if this strange little thought of mine is true.  I will share with you 3 shots.  Please feel free to share yours, as I'm sure you also have them.  Or others, you believe that everyone has.  Can you dig it?

The Cannon: (me sitting on one, Quebec City, Quebec 2011)

Old Rustbucket (had one, can't find it in my archives)

Red Barn (my hometown 2009)

@Sjasis That's a very unique looking cannon, looks older than mine!  I like it, thanks for sharing.  As for the barn, I love that it's all hazy and misty.  It gives it a certain personality.  I've always had a love for different weather shots!  Thanks for sharing!

I've got more than a few red barn pics, but in at least some of them my focus is not entirely on the barn.  In this shot taken in Bucks County, PA the pig in the foreground takes top billing with the barn providing an accent.

Here's another local barn in a different season altogether.

I don't have any red barns as they're pretty rare - ie nonexistent -  around here. I've got a cannon somewhere (but only one!) but it would take me forever to find it, and I also have a wreck of an old horse drawn cart, but no cars. It's an interesting theory though. And lets face it, there's virtually nothing that hasn't been photographed before :)

I have barn doors and shutters, for the textures. Lovely photos though, I should take more of our stone barns. I must sort some out and post them. Thanks for the post :)

Everyone has a lovely fall scene, a parkbench and a road trip snap too, it would seem.  I would be interested to see more of your work.  Thanks for the feedback!  :)

I have 2 out of 3.  The Red Barn and the rustbucket. Not many "traditional" red barns here but there are tobacco barns that are red, :).

I think the autumn scene is a sure bet and dandelion seed heads, too!
