Dick....I can almost hear your booming voice. Besides being great at photography you can talk and talk and talk. Tell Nettie "hi". Jill

Thanks for the garden comments. We have two huge gardens, each one is surrounded by chicken wire and electric fencing. This one, which is for veggies and annual flowers, is about 110 x 35 ft. We also have one which is even bigger with fruit trees, shrubs and lots of perennial beds. This is my other passion.

I'm no bug person, either. It is only since I have gotten into macro photography that I have become fascinated with their minute patterns, and then ONLY if I have a camera in hand and the light is right.

We just now saw the Jim Thome collage (it's been very strange to be unhooked from the virtual world). Great presentation!

You're right about Crazyhorse. He hasn't changed much, perhaps a little more detail in his face. They must still be having funding problems. Shame. I hope I live long enough to see the finished sculpture. Thanks for showing me your photo.

I appreciate your comment on "Anglefish". Not necessarily do I put the lens against the camera, but very close and use no flash. If you get too far from the glass, you will usually get the reflection of everything and everybody behind you.
It's kind of hard though if you are behing a group of school kids, the glass has all kinds of lip prints, nose prints and finger prints. Hopefully I find a place that's clean above where they can reach. BUT I have often been known to carry a rag and a small spray bottle of windex.

Thanks for your answer rok to be hand held for 400mm is certainly no mean feat.I have a 50-200mm Zuiko2:8-3.5 and a 1.4x tele converter attached on my camera with a two setting stabliser I do find it very difficult to keep in focus fully extended
getting back to your photo well done.

Thanks for your comments - I really appreciate them. This site is so nice to be on just because of people like you, who take the time to comment on other people's work.

"Kindness" with my comments to you has NOTHING to do with it - I'm simply being honest - your Mt. Rushmore series blew me away with how truly wonderful it was. Some unusual angles, some terrific shots!
